300 Cannery Row

A mix-use project, 300 Cannery Row transforms the interior of the Aenaes Cannery with 8 residential units, retail, and coastal commercial space dedicated to preserving the cannery’s history and community. Offsite parking will be constructed across the way on Foam Street, adding crucial parking. We welcome visitors to 300 with a historical promenade, atrium, and Monterey Bay observation deck, enhancing opportunity for coastal recreation.

The Concept

Dream it.

300 Cannery Row is one of Monterey’s most important structures — the last standing cannery on Cannery Row with an original crossover. A legacy project for the City of Monterey, it’s an extraordinary opportunity to preserve part of California history in a tasteful way and build a community that revitalizes this end of Cannery Row.

Project Highlights

  • Summary

300 Cannery Row is one of Monterey’s most important structures — the last standing cannery on Cannery Row with an original crossover. A legacy project for the City of Monterey, it’s an extraordinary opportunity to preserve part of California's history in a tasteful way and build a community that revitalizes this end of Cannery Row.

  • History

We embrace the history of the Aenaes Cannery, completed in 1945, and believe the adaptive reuse of an existing historical structure is necessary to ensure the preservation of such an important resource. The profound setting allows us to meld contemporary comforts with the organic architecture Cannery Row is known for. We respect the heritage this community stands for and are excited about where it is headed.

  • Sustainability

Sustainable and stylish updates preserve the building’s exterior featuring spectacular Monterey Bay views. A historical promenade and exhibits lead you to a Monterey Bay Observation Deck. Residents and guests experience the untamed coastline and can even touch their toes to the sand and cool water at our beach, just steps away.

  • Design

While the rustic exterior will remain nearly untouched, the interior will be tastefully and stylishly transformed. Residents are welcomed by a natural light atrium, a convenient street-level retail shop, and nearby parking.

  • Unparalleled Lifestyle

The quiet side of Cannery Row, we offer residents and guests an opportunity to connect with a multitude of ocean-view attractions. Relax and unwind where John Steinbeck pioneered the community to decades of acclaim.

  • Superior Location

300 Cannery Row offers the convenience and proximity of a downtown lifestyle on one of the most famous waterfront streets in the world. Enjoy the nostalgia and dream, and escape to 300 Cannery Row.
